NoName Creek, Looking upstream is a view from the Oconee river looking up one of its tributaries toward the bridge that is the entrance of Ben Burton Park. Burton Park is a 32-acre wildlife preserve off Mitchell Bridge Road and along the Middle Oconee. The site of a hydroelectric generating plant built in 1896, the land was donated to Clarke County in 1969. When I was in High School I would ride my bicycle to the park for a visit.
Many paintings arise from a walk along the rocky banks of this creek with no name; as well as, dozens of photographs. I often climb down to get up close and personal with the stream.
